1961- Leon's Mufflers & Brakes is founded by Leon and Elaine Warmuth and is located at 5th & Broadway in Eureka behind the old Morrow's Drive-in (Now Roy's Auto Center).

1963- The business moves to 15th & Broadway in Eureka. Don Poor joins the staff in 1964 as Leon's first employee.

1966- Leon's moves to Grant and Broadway Street.

1977- Leon and Elaine purchase the northeast corner at Broadway and Grant Street. This becomes the location of the shop until the end of 1992.

1993- The shop is expanded and a new facility is built at 929 Broadway in Eureka. Leon and Elaine begin the process of transferring control of the business to their son Dale Warmuth, and daughter, Carrie Sams. Dale assumes ownership and Carrie takes over as manager/bookkeeper.

2001- Leon's Mufflers & Brakes employs 10 people, four of whom are family members. The business enjoys a solid reputation as an automotive repair facility specializing in undercar products and services such as exhaust systems; shocks; McPherson struts and helper springs; lube, oil and filter service; factory-scheduled maintenance and brake repairs.

2005- Leon’s now has expanded their services, changed their name to Leon’s Car Care Center, and employs 15 people…
